I am watching Whistle Bait from FKB and it made me wonder if the boys from LITB ever acted like normal, red-blooded, American males and showed their admiration for women's physical traits.

Didn't Eddie give a va-va-va-voom several times describing females his age. Dating with Wally's gang seemed to be a way to be included in the group. More fixed on getting ready for the date, the date event, what food was eaten, then talking about the date at school. The writers crafted the guys not having much use for females other than the formal event, and for more of a status symbol. There were a few exceptions where Wally was humanized and had actual emotions toward female dates but generally his mind was more focused on the dating event.

Probably in the one where Eddie quit school, he walked down the hall going, chick-chick-chick at the Mayfield High females.
