I seem to remember a running gag on Green Acres where someone would refer to Eddie Albert as Mr. Grunyits (spelled phonetically, of course), to which he would reply "Douglas" and the other speaker would refer to him as "Douglas Grunyits". I think that the reference was somehow to his wife's maiden name being "Grunyits", but I can't be sure. Anybody out there able to fill in the holes in my fading memory?

Grunyitz was indeed Lisa's maiden name.
