I just remember when I was little watching the show, I didn't even notice Darrin was played by 2 actors lol

I noticed immediately as a young kid there was a new Darrin. I asked my mother what happened to the other guy (York) and she said she didn't know. I told her I preferred him (York) and she said "me too." Oddly I can still recall that conversation.

As a kid, I was never too perceptive when a new actor or actress played the same character... I never noticed it was a different Marylyn on the Munsters either, but I heard a lot of ppl didn't notice the change there either lol

I remember watching the show in reruns on ABC daytime when I was a kid and thinking of York as "daytime Darrin", then watching new episodes on Thursday nights with "nighttime Darrin" Sargent. So I definitely noticed the difference and preferred York's more animated version (although Sargent did have his moments from time to time).

I didn't notice until recently that the animation was different lol

But I've heard many ppl refer to them as "B&W Darrin" and "color Darrin".... I've heard ppl say they don't remember York being in the color episodes and thought Sargent took over as soon as it went to color

When I was little, it was weird, Its like I just thought "Sometimes Darrin looks THIS way and sometimes he looks THAT way", but it didn't occur to me that it was 2 different people lol
