That’s the question, who did it better?
I would say Jack Prince.

View Full Version : Jack Prince vs Jim Nabors who was better? Yong Fang 06-13-2022, 06:13 AM That’s the question, who did it better? I would say Jack Prince. But it was very lifeless, and robotic. Every song was sung the same way. Jack Prince's singing was more full of life. If you recall, Al Martino overdid it on his first couple songs, but eventually adopted a more natural singing style which sounded more pleasing IMO. GentlemanJim 06-20-2022, 04:19 PM For anyone first familiar with the Gomer Pyle character, I think the first time seeing Jim Neighbors sing in a serious environment....they were likely awestruck. Personally neither singer really pushes many buttons for me. But if I was forced to pick one or the other....as in which would I be willing to listen to all day long at work....I'd pick Jack Prince. That said, remembering when Pat Boone went Heavy Metal, I'd love to hear Jim Neighbors tackle some of Ten Years After's old catalog "Good morning little school girl....." etc |
