I looked Emma Thompson (Nanny Gee) up on IMDB and she won an Oscar for Lead Actress...hmm I found that interesting did anyone else know this?

Yes, Emma is a very well established actress. She's also British, Ben, which was my initial reaction when I first saw her on Cheers -- what happened to her accent!? LOL. I hate when Brit's put on American accents. Their real accents are too classy to hide behind a facade. LOL.

I especially love her on Howard's End... she was brilliant in that movie. She's definitely, by far, my favorite guest star ever to appear on Cheers.

She did a lot of Shakespearean theatre and movies with her ex husband Kenneth Branaugh. (I probably spelled that wrong :))

It would've been cool if she reprised her role on Frasier in the Don Juan in Hell episode. :(

Nanny G (Emma Thompson) was definately the best and most entertaining guest star. She was so funny, and I know I will never forget her phone number. That is one of the classic Cheers episodes.

Probably not, I can only imagine how much money it would have cost them, considering Emma has become such a successful actress.

Imagine Bebe Neuwirth, Rita Wilson and Emma Thompson on the same show?!?

Yea but some actors really like certain characters so that might be the reason they might want to play a part...who knows depending on how nanny gee was written and emma acted she might have earned an emmy nomination..
