Defacing public property is a felony, so he will probably regret it for the rest of his life.

They should arrest the Warner Bros executives who tore down the backlot house.

It's such a shame that people feel the need to vandalize public property.

I don't want him to go to jail. Give him hard labor for 6-12 months. Cleaning and mopping floors, washing vehicles. Roof repair/shingling, picking up garbage. Stuff like that. Let him work off his dept. Don't let him pay it off or sit idle in a cell somewhere. Agree?

Yes and he should have been toe one to clean the statue. With a toothbrush.

Fact checking on a sitcom forum...

1) Neither the state of Massachusetts nor the city of Salem paid for the renovation of the statue. TV Land did, and they did an excellent job cleaning it up.

2) (This seemed off to me, so I decided to do a fact check, and indeed, it's not true). Prisoners in Massachusetts are not getting "$20 million to give free phones to inmates." It's free phone CALLS, as inmates currently pay $1.50 per 15-minute call (https://www.prisonphonejustice.org/state/MA/) to a loved one (how they're supposed to get that money while they're in prison is an issue (https://www.prisonphonejustice.org)). That adds up to $14 million per year which is paid to the state. The state is experiencing a $400 million surplus, so Gov. Baker is proposing tax cuts, and that's part of it.
