Téa Leoni is celebrating her 52nd today. She began her screen career in the late 1980s, and had her first prominent role starring on the one-season sitcom Flying Blind in 1992. She had a breakthrough film role as Julie Mott in Bad Boys in 1995, the same year that she began starring as Nora Wilde on The Naked Truth, which ran for one season on ABC, and then, after some tweaking of the cast and premise, for two more on NBC.
Leoni had some prominent film roles in the late 1990s and early 2000s, appearing in Deep Impact, Jurassic Park III, and the 2005 remake of Fun with Dick and Jane. By the end of that decade, though, she was working less frequently, and even was absent from the screen (big or small) for a few years starting around 2011. In 2014, however, she made a very successful return to series television, starring as Elizabeth McCord on the CBS hit Madam Secretary, which is currently in its fourth season.
