Instead, Adam Schwartz’s fantasy moments used the on-air talent and set of the fledgling Fox Sports cable network. I know that Inside Schwartz (https://web.archive.org/web/20061031125318/http://www.jumptheshark.com/i/insideschwartz.htm) was produced by 20th Century Fox Television (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inside_Schwartz), so on that end, it makes logical sense.
But I would think that being an NBC show, it would be great cross promotion had Inside Schwartz used Bob Costas, who was NBC's top sports announcer at time. Then again, Bob Costas probably, would've been too expensive.
Either way, it was probably a sign that NBC didn’t have much faith in the show if they didn’t try to cross-promote their own sports programming and talent.
