What shows do you want on tape? This will be a fun post, post as much as you want.

Well, I've taped various random shows throughout the years. I usually tape them, then forget about them.

I have specials, special episodes, etc. I'd have to dig through everything to see just what is there.

Shows that I do have on tape/DVD:

Lexx - I have all of these that are available on DVD; the rest of the episodes are on tape.

The Avengers (TV series, not the movie) - Slowly but surely I'm buying these on DVD. I've got lots on tape as well.

Some Twilight Zone.

Some Star Trek (original series).

I have loads of shows that I've taped off TV but I dunno why I bother cos I hardly ever watch 'em.

The Amanda Show (Nickelodeon - every episode)
Ellen (Paramount Comedy and Channel 4 - all of seasons 3, 4 and 5)
The Osbournes (MTV - every episode, unbleeped)
My So-called Life (Trouble TV - every episode)
A Different World (Paramount Comedy - all of the first season)
Bubblegum Crisis (Sci-Fi - every episode of the original series)
Twin Peaks (Channel 5 - all of the first season)

I think that's all of 'em. That's all the ones I have in my room anyway - I may have more in boxes in the cellar. I'm gonna start taping Freaks and Geeks on E4 too.

I usually have no money, so the only series I've ever taped was FOL now. I've taped like 2 episodes of Lucy and The Nanny beofre, but I wasn't trying to collect hem all, since they'd be on my local channels for years. The only reason I'm taping FOL is to make sure to have some episodes if it ever decides to go off the air for a couple of more years, knowing American Television.

i recently got alot of my tapes back because when i use to tape a show everyday, there might have been an episode i didnt wanna tape over. so i would have to find another tape to tape it the next day. so a few months ago i hooked 2 VCRs up together and put them all on one tape.

I taped some shows that I like, that may be near cancellation like the Ellen show. I should have taped Oh Grow Up when it was on. But I didn't know ABC so going to cancel a show that was doing ok in the ratings. So they could put more Millionaire on.

I've been thinking of buying some Twilight Zone DVDS when I get some more money. Do they have a ton of extra stuff on them or is just the episodes?

I'm just reading what it says on the back of the DVD...

Special Inside The Twilight Zone Section- Includes bio info on Rod Serling, History of the Twilight Zone, Reviews, Cast info, and a season by season comentary. Trivia.

The DVDs differ though. Vol 11 has a different menu and extras than say Vol 21. It's weird.

All of that sounds cool. The thing is that I'm not sure I could break my 4th of July and New Years tradition by not recording the marathon. I've recording the 2 marathons for about 3 or 4 years, so even if I do get the dvds I would still record the marathons. It's a tradition to me. lol

Well they don't have all of The Twilight Zone eps on DVD but there are quite a few of them and I wouldn't want you to break your tradition of taping the eps. I still watch the marathons on Sci Fi every year too. The DVDs do have some extra stuff on them so if you're a big Twilight Zone fan you might want to start collecting some of them.

I have a long history of taping. I began taping in March of 1997.

Off of my memory here is what I taped since 1997:

March 1997- The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour [Nick at Nite]
July 1997- I Love Lucy [Nick at Nite]
August 1998- The Brady Bunch [Nick at Nite]; Mama's Family [TBS]
September 1998- Here's Lucy [Pax-TV]

C. March 1999- The Jeffersons [Nick at Nite]
May 1999- Mork and Mindy [Fox Family]
July 1999- Happy Days [Nick at Nite]

skipping ahead . . .

September through December 2000-
The Munsters, The Andy Griffith Show, Three's Company, Sanford and Son, Dragnet, My Three Sons [All but "Three's Company" was from TV Land]

I have taped other stuff since 2000.

But anyways, I have taped probably over 5000 episodes of various tv shows but keep in my mind that a little portion of my tapes were taped over, messed up, or had to be replaced.

My future taping plans are:

~ Happy Days [TV Land]
~ The Norman Lear Marathon [TV Land]
~ Survivor 5 [CBS]
~ Three's Company [Nick at Nite & TNN]
