Hey guys. I was lucky enough to get a copy of most of the episodes from Season One off of NBC. The tape quality isn't the greatest, which is why the pics are so small (to get better quality). The opening title "The Golden Girls" has a different backdrop and Rue's opening credit is different. The rest is basically the same, and in some episodes, features the plane flying. All the openings in season one include a few scenes cut out from Lifetime opening sequences. I'll get those captured soon. There is also a little thing that is shown in the middle of an episode, a picture of Dorothy Rose and Blanche with their arms around each other with the show logo over them and a quick version of the theme song. I cannot remember what this is called, lol.

Hi. I remember seeing this opening ONCE on Lifetime!!! It was recently (WITHIN THE PAST YEAR) and I never saw it again... the opening that Lifetime uses is the season 2 opening...

What episode is that picture of Blanche from??? I don't think I've ever seen that one...

the opening credit with the title... that was used in the NBC 75th anniversary show. I think it may have even been commented on here when it aired.

I don't remember it from the original airings, but now that I put it all together, I do remember it from NBC's anniversary.......

I like the original opening picture better than Lifetime's.

Rue's opening is from the first episode "Pilot." Yeah, NBC DID use the first season title on the anniversary special and they showed a scene from "In A Bed of Rose's"

Hi jayman!

The pic of Blanche on those opening credits is from the Pilot episode. In the UK we've had all 180 episodes run on LivingTV from the beginning of the year and for the first 3 or 4 seasons those pictures are used on the opening credits.
