Louise Lasser's Saturday Night Live appearence will air on E! on August 6th at 7:00 PM and 1:00 AM. This is hte first time it's EVER been rerun. Lorne Michaels didn't like the episode so he cut it out of the syndication package.

Louise only appears in 2 segments
the opener / land shark / coke bust joke bit after she does her "breakdown" schtick on stage during monologue

and she appears in a MUTE role --a Ingmar Bergman spoof

after memorizing lines on MH MH daily --she prolly just wanted
a fun SNL experience -- no lines for her !! haha

Louise is a genuis for playing crackpots having breakdowns
love it when she assures the audience in her MH MH yell voice
" IT WILL ALL COME together y'know"

..between Louise, Lorne, AND the cast and crew, which have been widely documented. I saw the show when it was originally telecast in the summer of 1976- I don't think she was "ready", that's why she appeared in only a few sketches and that "rant" of hers near the end of the show....that's why Lorne withheld that episode from network and cable repeats until 2002.
