how come abc did not show reruns of Hppy days during the summer in its final season I think it was selffesh of them not to Do that and why did Ro Howard leave the show?

Well, Ron had a contract from 1974-1981 I think, and it expired, so they made his character get married.

Ron Howard ended his contract in 1980 to pursue other things.

It was moved to Thursday nights only from Jun-Jul 1984, none of those episodes were new - they were just repeats.

because the show had ended and they already had aired the finale and the last season had lower ratings because it aired against The A-Team.. there's your answer..
