Paramount Network's decision to move the hit Taylor Sheridan drama series from the summer to fall paid off, making Season 4 the No. 1 non-sports show in total viewers and in the key 18-49 demo, as Variety's Michael Schneider points out. Yellowstone topped broadcast hits like NCIS, This Is Us, FBI and Chicago P.D. This marks the first time that a basic cable show topped broadcasters since The Walking Dead's heyday. Yellowstone wasn't the only cable series to make the top 100 primetime shows of the year. 90 Day Fiancé, 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days and 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way were among the Top 100 shows in the 18-49 demo (the latter two also made the Top 100 in total viewers). Meanwhile, Magnum P.I. was the highest-rated show that was canceled. Season 4 of the CBS reboot averaged 7.3 million viewers, down slightly from Season 3's 7.4 million -- good enough for 28th place in total viewers (No. 62 in the demo).
