For fans of both shows, is there anything you think that is different between the “Young Sheldon” and the “Adult Sheldon”?
I think the child was much more respectful and empathetic than the adult. The child is not a jerk and has empathy towards his family and others. Adult Sheldon wasn’t empathetic. He was more of a jerk. Child Sheldon wasn’t a jerk or did not mean to be.
Frankly the “Adult Sheldon” was an idiot. This has been shown with other high IQ characters that they are intelligent but they are lacking in common sense. I have never watched Frasier, but Frasier on Cheers wasn’t that smart. I don’t think he was on his own show nor his brother, who was arguably a genius. Neither was Lilith. Both were maybe to smart for their own good. They were too smart for their own good which made them think they were above everyone else but this was a handicap in everyday life.
Child Sheldon was a lot more empathetic than adult Sheldon. I think this was some of the criticism of Big Bang Theory, a general lack of empathy.
