In 2001 FOX debuted the oddest reality show ever and I thought it was weird when I first heard about it set in a military base named Boot Camp. In Boot Camp teams of contestants had to do various military challenges and follow rules just like training to be a soldier. If the teams of contestants failed to do their challenges or tasks or follow the rules one member of the team was voted off and the winner got a prize of $500,000. Boot Camp only aired for one season but this was certainly one of the strangest ideas FOX had for a reality show

I had no idea this was even a thing until I happened to come across commercials for it on a few of the Fox pre-records I have.

Another odd one in Fox's catalog was the masked dating show called Mr. Personality hosted by Monica Lewinsky. It lasted a handful of episodes.
