The annual NFL all-star game, which airs a week before the Super Bowl on ESPN, has been frequently derided even as it still produces strong ratings. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says the league is exploring turning the Pro Bowl into a celebration of players without playing an actual game. "I think the conclusion (of discussions) was that the game itself doesn't work," Goodell told ESPN. "And we need to find another way to celebrate our players."
