I've heard of Blansky's beauties, but not the other one.

I remember Blansky's Beauties. This was the second short-lived sitcom in the same season for Nancy Walker, who just came off the cancellation of The Nancy Walker Show. There were a lot of familiar cast members who turned up on other Garry Marshall shows. Lynda Goodfriend, Scott Baio and Pat Morita would also appear on Happy Days and Eddie Mekka played Carmine on Laverne and Shirley. The other Laverne and Shirley connection was Cyndi Grecco, who sang the show's theme song "I Want it All."

As for Who's Watching the Kids, this was one of two short-lived sitcoms Jim Belushi appeared in (the other was Working Stiffs) before he hit it big`with According to Jim.

Jim Belushi became known in the 80s for two years on Saturday Night Live as well as movies such as Red Heat, so he had hit it big long before According To Jim.
