...don't expect to see episodes of "SANFORD ARMS" or "SANFORD" [that lasted a bit longer] on 'TV LAND' (or other cable channels) or DVD any time soon, 'Mike'. Sony Pictures Television owns them, and you'd have to contact them if you really want them shown again.

You really should try writing in English as it makes it much easier to understand.

The Sanford Arms and Sanford were reran on BET in the 1990s. They have not been reran since 1991 and 1996 respectively.

Did Sanford use the theme song of sanford and Son or did it have a theme song of its own like the Sanford arms and Grady?

Sanford had the same theme as Sanford and Son

I haven't gotten around to transferring mine to DVD yet but I did masters on them all when BET ran them. I still think there's a chance Sony might put them out so I've been holding off.

Alright, thanks for the clarification.

I'm guessing there was a marathon and they did something similar to what they did with the Three's Company marathon recently?

It's a shame, too. I am a huge Sanford & Son fan and have never seen Grady, The Sanford Arms, or Sanford. And I doubt they're ever going to be on DVD anytime soon.

TV Land was celebrating Norman Lear's 80th birthday and aired all of his shows that evening. I wish they celebrated his 85th birthday so we could see more of his short-lived shows

Sanford is a lot better than Sanford Arms. Sanford Arms makes very little sense a lot of the time. Sanford still isn't that good, but its a little funnier. Some of the multi part episodes get kind of annoying. For a short lived series it seemed like there were many multi parters.

Thats kind of dumb sounding. Its not like they were shown recently, this was like 15-20 years ago.

BET reran one episode of Sanford Arms while it was rerunning Sanford. That is how I finally saw this and satisfied my curiosity. No need to see that one again! :)

I dont see why this is even a discussion because both shows are out in the trading community and complete. There are 4 eps of Sanford arms and 26 eps of sanford so even if I didn't record them they are AVAIABLE!!!!!!!!!

Sanford is coming back to BET starting March 1st. A marathon of every episode back to back will also be aired. Check the sitcoms online blog.

Thought I would weigh in here since I put these on dvd and I would assume most sets out there are ones I originally did from vhs.

BET RAN 4 eps of Sanford Arms, they are in ok quality, except the first ep which is I had to piece together from 2 different vhs sources. Honestly, I am not sure the other Sanford Arms eps actually exist, does anyone know for sure if they went into production?

I would bet there is a good chance during this next run of Sanford that BET will throw the Sanford Arms eps in.

As for Grady, there are 3 eps in circulation: 1. Is a Sanford & Son ep that is known as the Grady pilot. 2. is the ep Redd Foxx made a guest appearance in and 3. is the TV Land driving school ep.

There are only 2 eps of Grady in circulation. If the Grady pilot is a Sanford and Son ep with S&S opening credits why do so many traders consider that a Grady ep? So if that's the case I have 1 ep of Checking In, the Pilot ep which was a Jeffersons set up episode

tdubel

I consider it a Grady ep as it sets up all of the characters for the Grady spinoff, when I watch it, I watch it with the other Grady eps.

Solomon,
I agree it is technically a S&S ep, I just put it in my dvd set that way for purposes of watching it!

Well since you have the Grady Opening Credits, you can replace the S&S opening with the Grady theme for that Pilot ep

Why is BET starting off Sanford with "In the Still of the Night", the 4th episode (according to tvguide.com)? You really need to see "The Meeting", which lays the groundwork. On BET's schedule, it's listed as "Sandford", which means that's probably the same person who made the decision on which order to air them in....some clueless person.

Well to make up for it, BET will add a marathon of Sanford next Saturday from 10am to 11pm and it will be all 26 eps. Greg we can now remove SANFORD from our Trade list-lol It no longer has the same appeal it had 7 years ago now that it's on Cable again

I was transferring the episodes from my DVR and was surprised that each episode ran OVER 22 minutes (I know they are still cut) but the episodes ran almost 22 1/2 minutes long. The sitcom reruns on TVLand have been cut from 22 to 21 minutes now (in fact 20:53 is the shortest episode I've seen on TV land). So that was a pleasant surprise to me.

When it comes to a RARE show like sanford, edited scenes shouldn't be a issue
