Do you remember a show called Arnie or The Ugliest Girl In Town? I liked both shows. Ugliest I have the pilot on vhs, now I know why that show didn't make it, lol.

I seem to recall watching the fall preview for Arnie a few years ago while browsing through a collection of fall preview specials. If my memory is correct, it involved a brick being put in a suitcase and then being tossed out a window. And, of course, the main character getting a shocking promotion -- which was the basis for the entire series, which someone managed to hang on for two seasons.

WOW, good memory tvobscurities. I have a faint memory of Arnie, same with Ugliest Girl In Town. Anyone remember Love Thy Neighbor or When Things Were Rotten?

Love Thy Neighbor had Joyce Bullifant in it and it was about a mixed marriage and When Things Were Rotten was about Robin Hood and Maid Marion and it starred Dick Goutier.

...it was a sitcom about an "ordinary guy" who works on a loading dock, who suddenly becomes an executive at the company he works for. The situations revolved around Arnie Nuovo's attempts to adjust to "executive status" and his family and friends' adjustments to his new way of life as well. Herschel Bernardi, a GREAT actor and performer, was Arnie, with Roger Bowen as his supervisor. Lasted only two seasons (1970-'72) on CBS....20th Century-Fox TV still has the episodes in their "vaults".

One of my favorites at the age of ~7. I remember in particular an episode in which a classic car, about to be entered in a car show, is for some reason parked in front of Arnie's house and mistaken by a towtruck driver for his son's eyesore jalopy--which has been condemned to scrap! Arnie was sandwiched between My Three Sons and Mary Tyler Moore on Saturday nights its first season, but somehow something about it must have limited its appeal because it was the only one of those three series which didn't finish the season in the top 25.

I never heard of them, but I found out about "Ugliest" right here (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062608/).

I have all but one Arnie from FoxNet and I have a few of Ugliest Girl, truly one of the worst shows of the 60s.
