Seems as though more often than not, daughters look more like their fathers, and sons favor their mothers (bone structure, etc). Anybody else feel this to be the case?
Look at this picture of Bob Crane and family for an example. Seems as though I see this a lot, where offspring favor one parent or the other, the gender frequently flop flops .

Other ! It can go either way ! I have 2 boys, the older one favors my X and the younger one favors me more ( a combination of both as he gets older, but still more me) , but the oldest surely looks like his father a lot more than he does me!;)

I have only 1 offspring, a girl, and she leans more to her father's body make up. Looks too I think, but not the looks so much as skin composition. .
My own family, I see no resemblance in any of us 3 kids to our parents.

My fathers friends all insisted that I looked just like him.
While my mother's brother's wife insists that I look just like 3 of her 4 sons
Total strangers on several occasions have mentioned that I remind them of Kurt Russell
While to me, I think all of those are wrong...to me I look like George Wendt....who I am distantly related to, although never even met
I don't know. My mom and I always get people saying that we look alike, although neither of us can see it. Although my brothers both got my mom's blue eyes and my eyes are more greenish/hazel like my dad's.

Well, does anybody disagree with me that in the above photo the son looks more like his mom than his dad, and the two girls look more like dad than mom?
To me it seems overwhelmingly that way. I can see traces of dad in the boy, and traces of mom in the girls....but the dominant traits seem to me to be split as I mention.
And, This is just sort of something I've distilled over the years. When I meet the family of guys I work with, it almost always seems like the girls favor the dad.
I think this tendency in observation of mine may have started decades ago when I first started dating, where you meet a girl. and wonder where that square jaw line comes from, then you get to meet her parents, see the dad, and suddenly it all makes sense.

When I was in my 20s or so, I was told I resembled my dad. And I "went" with that, so to speak.
So, many years later, I was surprised when a stranger told me I resembled my mom.
It's funny that one of my nieces had a strong resemblance to me when her photo appeared in the newspaper, so much so that my neighbors commented on it.
