View Full Version : Do you think FOL was better on Hallmark or N@N?

I can't decide. I don't like the fact that a scene of the show begins before the opening theme song. It is more difficult to tape because you don't actually know when it will begin, because sometimes it is on/off time for me. Otherwise, I like Hallmark better, because it has double episodes.

I just can't tell if Hallmark edits the episodes -- do they? Thanks.

Yeah, Hallmark edits 'em, but different than the way N@N did, which I like.

And personally, I love the "teasers" they've made for the show! :D It's so modern and cool. :)

Nick at Nite. Because I have the channel.

I also like Hallmark, I don't like just going right into the theme songs, and the little clip between takes are pretty good too. But I like that Hallmark is showing some of the "contriversal episodes" unlike N@N they can't handle it, I think Hallmark uses the right tones on editing, and the fact they give us more with back-to-back episodes! :D

I don't care, as long as I have that channel.

I don't know why, but I think that FOL looked clearer when it came out on N&N.

I vote for Hallmark. They have shown the eps I haven't seen plus it does seem they edit differently, better than NAN.

I like how N@N kept to their schedule better than Hallmark, but I do enjoy seeing the contraversal episodes on Hallmark. They both edit a lot out of episodes, but they each edited different parts. I don't think I prefer one over the other; they both have their pluses and minuses.

Hallmark! :) I don't even remember it that well on Nick At Nite. It comes on at a better time for me on Hallmark! :happyface

Honestly, I do appreciate Hallmark, but I enjoyed FOL much more on N@N. Although I have Hallmark, knowing that not everyone else has it kind of spoils the fun, because we can't all discuss it together. Plus for some reason, I enjoy sitcoms more when they're shown during primetime.

But since there's about 4 or 5 controversial eps I still haven't seen, I do look forward to seeing them on Hallmark.

Each channel has its pros and cons to me. Hallmark is showing the controvercial episodes while Nick @ Nite didn't. Nick @ Nite had better sound than Hallmark. I really can't hear the actors speaking their lines so I run the volume up all the way just to able to hear what everybody is saying. When the theme comes on or a commericial comes on, I'm near about blasted all the way to the opposite side of the house. Maybe its just my ears that are the problem. Anybody else have that problem with the Hallmark sound?

Whatever you think, it was great on N@N and TVL because I don't get Hallmark Channel. I bet it's the same too. And I watched it the most when it was on USA. When was that about
2 or 3 years ago?

The Grand Teton Mountain Range is in what state?

If you can answer this and a bunch other questions, maybe you've got what it takes to..

I like it better on hallmark b/c: The teasers, the picture is a lot clearer and they show the good episodes.

Well I had that problem until I noticed my volume wasn't on stereo, so sound came out of one end of the TV. But all my tapes have that little buzzing noise all the way through. It's most likely because I record on Ep for more episodes per tape and teh fact that my Hallmark has ripples acros teh screen, so my tapes are in pretty sad sound and picture quality. But I don't have teh money to get a new VCR just for FOl because I'm starting college in a year and need to save up!

I liked it on nick at nite cause they left the really funny parts in. Hallmark cut alot of those out. Of course today they put in a really funny part that ruled that i hadnt seen. Maybe i like both...

I got to see 4 whole episodes while I was on vacation, and I'm thinking N@N. I dunno, I liked it at N@N because I could do my homework at the same time. I loved that...it gave me something to watch. And I seriously think that taking FOL off the air on N@N made my grades go down, cuz they did. Just my opinion though! lol

I loved when the Facts were on N@N. Their commercial spoffs and marathons (Blair Tootie Project, for example) were great. I mean, it was great just sitting down and watching the Facts. An episode I had never seen every day.

I mean, who can beat the Eastland Yearbook promo?

Same here.

I definately prefer FOL on Hallmark than not all! That being said, I have to say I liked it better on N@N. I also prefered watching FOL in the evening. The only fault I have with N@N is that they didn't show the controversial eps. :(

I'm glad that Hallmark is airing it so that I get to see FOL again and get episodes on tape, especially the controversial ones.

Yes! I thought it was just my cable company or something. I have the volume turned up as far as it will go, then the commercial comes on and I scramble for the remote to turn it down. It's really annoying. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who noticed this.

I was starting to worry that it really was a hearing problem. Hallmark is the only channel that I have the trouble with and you are right, it is annoying.

What the hell is the matter with you guys choosing hallmark? You guys are forgetting how hallmark treated the show like crap! I am so mad at hallmark for only running through every episode ONCE and pulling the plug only 4 months later. NO SPECIALS, NO MARATHONS AND WAY TO MANY CUT-OUTS. I liked it on N@N much better! At least N@N cared about it enough to Show the Unhidden Marathons twice and the Blair/Tootie Project and Revenge of the 80's! Nick@Nite also had more slot times. From September 2000 to December 2000 Facts of Life aired Mon-Thurs at 8:30 PM and 10:00 PM with repeats at 2:30 AM and 5:00 AM. Saturdays at 10:00 and 10:30 PM with repeats later that night. And Sundays at 12:30 AM with a repeat at 4:30 AM! That's a lot of slots for one week! From January 2001 to March 2001 Facts of Life aired Mon-Thurs at 9:00 and 9:30 PM, Saturdays at 10:00 and 10:30 PM and Sundays at 9:00 and 9:30 PM!!!!!! I will admitt, as the time went by, the more the time slots for fol were trimmed down. N@N still had a desire to keep it for 3 more months. From April 2001 to June 2001 Facts of Life aired Sun-Thurs at 9:30 PM. Nick@Nite cared about fol enough to run through every episode 2 or 3 times. Hallmark treated it like crap and dropped if after one run through the episodes  Therefore I liked it on N@N better.
