I never watch the episode with cousin Ema and maybe they mention it in that one, but other than that, I do not remember them saying it.

She's known as Alice Nelson, but I don't recall if or when her surname was actually stated on the series itself (or the later Brady Brides, etc.).

It's Nelson, but I sure don't remember when it is mentioned.

How about Sam the Butcher? Was his last name ever mentioned?

Yes Alice's last name Nelson is mentioned at least once and my gut tells me more than once. Otherwise I dont think I would have remembered it so easily.

We know that he was Sam Franklin, because at least once after Alice marries him, she is called "Alice Franklin" as her married name (on The Bradys).

It was mentioned in the Tattle Tale episode, when Alice took the phone call from the company where she won the contest. She said this is Alice Nelson and what did I win?

How come you never watch the episode with Alice's cousin Emma?

I thought her last name was mentioned in the episode where Kay took over and Alice works in a diner

I can't stand when an actor plays another character in the same episode.

I don't watch the one when the mom and dad play the grandparents either.

Waltons' did that too with Corabeth playing her sister or cousin.

I love the Sgt Emma episode. Its hysterical that kids would be pushed to do exercise in the yard before school. Its one of my favorite episodes.
The irony is that Ann was a twin so they could have asked her twin to do the other part. But this was a trendy thing to do in sitcoms in the 70s

I do hate the Never Too Old episode of the grandparents. They are so over acting for old people

I believe they mention that Alice's last name is Nelson in The Tattle Tale from Season 2 when she gets the registered letter about her prize in the jingle contest and they mention that Sam's last name is Franklin in the episode Top Secret from Season 5 when Mr. Brady wrote Sam Franklin on the envelope with the plans in it.
