I was watching New York,New York today and I've seen it for the first time and I thought it was hilarious! The fights between Blair and Dina/Jo and Jessie were just great, I wrote down the scene because it was just so great, I just hope to share it with you I don't know if everything is written down word-for-word but it's close enough. Here is the scene:

(Episode from New York, New York)

Blair: Ahem
Jo: Oh, ah Jessie this is someone who goes to my school, Blair Warner.
Jessie: Hi
Blair: Hello
Blair: Ahem
Jo: And this is her friend Princess Die
Dina: Dina Decker
Blair: So youre Jessie! Jos told me so much about you!
Jessie: Oh, yeah same here, you werent kidding were you?
Dina: Jessie and Jo, did you two arrive at the Dolphin game?

(Stranger Bumps into Jessie)

Jessie: Aye, watch it, old people; you cant turn around without bumping into half of the cast of Shoji!
Blair: And I suppose your family came over on the Mayflower, don?t you know New York is a melting pot, different people, from different places; we should try to make them feel at home.
Jo: Blair likes to think of herself as hostess of the world.
Blair: I simply speak the international language.
Jo: Yeah, shopping!
Dina: Speaking of charge, have I got a weekend plan, there is not one store in Manhattan. That we wont be giving some serious attention!
Jessie: Oh, their going shopping how divine!
Blair: And what are you two planning to do this weekend? Knocking over a few candy stores!
Jessie: How would you like to gargle egg shells, sweetheart?
Jessie: Why dont we just hang out tomorrow, you know, checking out the old labels.
Jo: Great, yeah.
Dina: This ones right out of the sweat hogs!
Jessie: Youre asking for it, Barbie doll!
Blair: I?ll take you not, to take that tone with my friend!
Jo: She will take whatever tone she wants with your friend!
Dina: How De Classe! Oh, that means low!
Jessie: In your ear, that means in your ear!
Blair: Little words, for little minds.
Jo: And whos mind you calling? Muffin head!
Blair: Hers, and don?t call me names, you grungy grease monkey!
Jessie: Why dont you go to the garbage dump and turn yourselves in!
Dina: Why dont you (pauses) turn blue!
Blair: Thats telling her Dina!
Jo: Come on, Jessie lets both.
Blair: No you dont, we?ll both first!
Dina: Is this all you brought?
Blair: I was in a hurry!
(Commercial Break)

So, don't you like that episode? If there are any corrections you should add please tell me, thanks!

I already have it on tape from the fandemonium but it was good seeing it again, I'm kinda burnt out of it though...

I loved the episode, and I finally got to hear the "Turn Blue" quote. I may have to try that the next time someone irritates me. lol :)

Yeah, it's Becker, and it's spelled "Princess Di", not "Die", as in stop livin'. lol ;)

And instead of "Shoji", I'm 99% sure she said "Shogun" instead.

That particular episode would have to be in my top 15. It is a Blair/Jo classic!

It's definitely one of the classics, but like others have said, I probably couldn't watch it over and over. There aren't many episodes I could do that with anyway anymore...

Great, because it shows how much Blair and Jo had changed from what they used to be like with their old friends- who haven't changed at all, hence when they ask about each other's weekend and their friends, they both say "the same".

Dina was so mean and acted like a total jerk when Blair, out of the kindness of her heart, tries to make lunch for Dina's get together and to take up for poor Hildy. If I were in Blair's place, Dina would have been wearing that tuna fish bowl.

Jo however tried to get Jessie to see the error of her ways but without success. Jessie knew that deep down in her heart Jo was right but she didn't want to believe that there was indeed a world outside of the Bronx battlefield.

These revelations about their old lives actually strengthened Blair and Jo's bond and made them appreciate each other more. Until the next time, that is. That's my soundoff about 'New York, New York". What do you all think?

IS ANYBODY AWARE THAT ALEXA KENIN, WHO PLAYED JESSIE, DIED? WHILE SHE WAS FILMING "PRETTY IN PINK", (SHE WAS ANDIE'S FRIEND, JENA) PER JOHN HUGHES, DIRECTOR, THE CAST WAS TOLD THAT SHE DIED OF ASTHMA COMPLICATIONS, WHEN IN REALITY SHE WAS SHOT BY AN EX-BOYFRIEND. "PRETTY IN PINK" WAS PARTLY DEDICATED TO HER.

FROM TIME TO TIME I LIKE TO DO SOME "CHECKING ON MY FACTS", TO SEE WHAT THE CAST AND SHORT OR LONG TERM GUESTS ARE DOING NOW.

WHILE LIVING IN CHICAGO, I WATCHED FACTS DAILY ON ME-TV. SINCE AIRING FACTS LAST YEAR, THEY STARTED FROM SEASON 1, AND AFTER I WATCHED THIS PARTICULAR EPISODE, I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT "JESSIE" WAS NOW UP TO.
I WAS SHOCKED AND SADDENED TO READ THAT ALEXA WAS SHOT. I HAVE READ VARYING STORIES, INCLUDING ONE THAT HER EX-BOYFRIEND SHOT HER IN THE FACE AT POINT BLANK RANGE. MY HEART SANK AFTER READING THAT. I WATCHED THE EPISODE AGAIN, SOMETIME LATER, AND ALTHOUGH IT WAS A FUNNY, MOVING EPISODE, EVERYTIME I SAW "JESSIE"/ALEXA, I JUST THOUGHT OF WHAT A WASTE OF LIFE. SO MUCH PROMISE AND BEAUTY. WHO KNOWS WHAT COULD'VE BEEN.

IT FURTHER MADE ME REALIZE HOW PRECIOUS MY LIFE IS, HOW OTHERS' LIVES ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT, AND THAT WE SHOULD USE OUR TALENTS THE BEST WAY EACH OF US CAN FOR THE BETTERMENT OF OURSELVES AND OTHERS, BECAUSE WE NEVER KNOW HOW OR WHEN IT CAN ALL BE TAKEN AWAY.
(SORRY IF I SOUND LIKE "DEBBIE DOWNER"-SNL) IT'S BEEN 23 YEARS TODAY SINCE MY DAD DIED:( HOPE I DON'T ANNOY ANYONE BY SHARING THAT. I KNOW IT DOESN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH FACTS, EXCEPT...YOU TAKE THE GOOD:), YOU TAKE THE BAD:(, YOU TAKE THEM BOTH AND THERE YOU HAVE, THE FACTS OF LIFE, THE FACTS OF LIFE, THE FACTS OF LIFE....AND HOW!

It is very sad! No one is really sure how she died! They told the Pretty In Pink cast it was asthma complications, but everyone thinks her ex boyfriend beat her to death in her apartment. Either an ex boyfriend or a crazy fan she refused to sign an autograph for. Unfortunately, we'll probably never know and her death was a waste and she gets no justice:(

Two parts of this episode that made me laugh out loud were when Blair was making the tuna salad (her facial expressions and licking her finger) and when Jo gave the waiter this look when he let it spill to Blair that Jo was worried about her.
