A Different World was from 1987-1993. It started in the 80s and had two full years in the 80s. A Different World also had one more season than Taxi, with over 3.5 seasons in the 90s and less than 2.5 in the 80s. It would have been a closer differential on Taxi because of only five total seasons instead of six total seasons for A Different World. Also, Three's Company ran from 1977-1984 and it's in the 70s section, even though it has more years in the 80s.
