Cheryl Ladd did not have it easy when she first started her acting career.

The 70-year-old Charlie's Angels veteran told PageSix (https://pagesix.com/2022/05/03/cheryl-ladd-was-chased-around-a-desk-by-a-male-exec-in-hollywood/) that she was sexually harassed and asked for favors after she moved to Los Angeles from her native South Dakota in the 1970s.

'I was about 19 and I did get chased around one desk,' the actress told the site. 'I literally ran around the desk and out the door.'

But the men never got very far as she says she 'put out a vibe' that she wasn't somebody to 'mess with,' adding. She added, 'So, don't bother.'

Her career began in the early 1970s when she picked up guest starring roles on TV shows such as The Partridge Family and Happy Days.

She stayed under the radar until she was cast in 1977 as Farrah Fawcett's little sister Kris Munroe for the second season of the female private investigator series Charlie's Angels.

She was joining Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson.

Farrah - who was Farrah Fawcett-Majors then as she was wed to Six Million Dollar Man star Lee Majors - had quit to the hit series to pursue a film career, but she often made guest starring roles where she appeared alongside Ladd.

Ladd was on the show until it ended in 1981.

Other stars who played Angels after Jackson quit. were Shelley Hack and Tanya Roberts. David Doyle was on the show the entire run as Bosley.

Ladd said that starring on Charlie's Angels was a The blond beauty referred to it as a 'rocketship time.'

But the sudden fame was 'in a way, the best of times and the worst of times.'

She explained it was a lot of work. 'People forget that when you did a series like Charlie's Angels, there were 29 episodes [a season],' she explained. 'And not to mention, all the wardrobe fittings and all the interviews, we just worked ourselves to the bone.'

And she was a new mom at the time.

She continued, 'I had a two-year-old daughter when I started Charlie's Angels. It was really, really difficult on so many levels. During the series, I got divorced [from first husband David Ladd]. So, yeah, there was a lot of stuff that happened then.'

Now she is starring as a country singer in A Cowgirl's Song.

'It's just so warm and fun and great music. It was all around just a hoot [to film]. And I loved playing that grandmother,' she told Page Six.

'I mean, when I'm acting, I'm somebody else. When I'm in a room, I'm myself. And you know, take it or leave it!'

I've made a big sacrifice to sort through many, many hot photos of Cheryl Ladd... Of course, I can't think of any better way to spend my time...!

This first image of young Cheryl appeared on the cover of Teen Magazine:

Another fun look at a young woman on her way to stardom:

Still in the very early '70s for this image. Really like Cheryl's look as she's
appearing here, so attractive with cute stockings and just adorable:

On Happy Days, Nov. 1974 airing. Cheryl has a special "glam" look with a pretty
necklace. Her eyes sparkle, and her retro wavy hairstyle is era-appropriate:

Onward to Charlie's Angels. Really quite beautiful, stunning:

One more from that period, I'm under Cheryl's hypnotic spell. Great
eyes, a perfect smile, and luxurious long hair. Such a gorgeous face:

Finally, a little later image, from 1985. So "tight." Cheryl looks
so pretty in her jeans and is a very lovely woman:

Lots of pretty girls in Hollywood, but Aaron Spelling really had an eye for who the camera would like. Farrah was absolutely essential to the show taking off, and then Cheryl the only one who could seamlessly replace her.
