Just like (https://www.reddit.com/r/charmed/comments/lenz04/even_kicking_out_kerns_stupid_story_direction_who/) his later series (https://www.datalounge.com/thread/12954075-original-cast-of-charmed-break-their-silence-working-together) Charmed (https://web.archive.org/web/20061031125247/http://www.jumptheshark.com/c/charmed.htm), Aaron Spelling (https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showpost.php?p=6043235&postcount=111) apparently, insisted (https://www.reddit.com/r/charmed/comments/os1idm/comment/h6m40p9/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) on one-shot storylines and refused to make an overarching plot and make any changes to the status quo mythology.

While it's debatable that Charlie's Angels (https://web.archive.org/web/20140330100109/http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/topic/3113627-charlies-angels-brought-to-you-by-farrahs-hair/?view=getnewpost) very much suffered (https://www.datalounge.com/thread/30584227-dynasty-question-) once Farrah Fawcett left, it absolutely went into complete effect (https://web.archive.org/web/20061031125247/http://www.jumptheshark.com/c/charliesangels.htm) after (https://www.reddit.com/r/charmed/comments/kzrwy5/imo_aaron_spelling_deserves_just_as_much_blame_as/) Kate Jackson exited. The biggest story changes in Charlie's Angels (https://www.datalounge.com/thread/22382376-charlie%E2%80%99s-angels-season-5-) were pretty much when each Angel was replaced. Other than that, it was status quo with plots that didn't connect with the overall show's entirety.
