Wow, I saw this episode today for the first time since I was a kid and saw it summer reruns in the mid-'80s, and I remembered a little bit of it.

But at the end, when Dr. Greene says he wants to hug her, she turns toward him---and then it freeze frames! Grrrr...

Did Natalie's dad ever appear again? Was there any closure for this scene? I assume that the episode where Natalie finds her real mother airs after this one, and I already have that one from USA, so I assume she forgives him and things are fine between 'em after all? :confused:

Believe it or not, there was never a hug in teh scene at all, it REALLY ends like that, and it is never mentioned whether nat's mother even FOUND out... and sad but true, natalies father does NOT reappear in any other episodes, only mentioned in the one where he dies and the one where nat graduates and they say that he would have been so proud.... hope that helps! :)

Yeah, I knew it ended that way since it was freeze-framed, but didn't know if maybe there was another episode where they talked or not---but I guess not!

Well, he's also mentioned in the one where Natalie meets her real mother, so I guess we're supposed to assume that things are good between 'em again. At least, that's what I like to think. :)

I understand why they freeze framed it-it takes time to get through something like that (I am not speaking from experience or anything) and it would have been unrealistic to have them make up immediately.
