Anyway, I can't imagine a reboot of Three's Company today. It just wouldn't work.

I always had the idea of a reboot, featuring Janet and Chrissy meeting back up with each other and moving back into their old apartment at their ages today to live their retirement years... sorta a Golden Girls type show.

Jack was probably more likely to marry Janet though rather than Chrissy. In her show, would Janet visit? Did a divorced Janet later marry Larry?

But what would the show be about to be a comedy? It couldn't have the same themes as it did back then. Every time I go to Youtube it seems like another 3' s " this is not appropriate" video pops up.

Everyone knows Jack Tripper was the reason Three's Company was & is still such a hit. Hot women in Hollywood are a dime a dozen so Suzanne was easily replaced.

So this show would never succeed without John Ritter & maybe not even then because things have changed DRASTICALLY since those days!

Plus Suzanne doesn't deserve any show related to Three's Company due to her outrageous behavior back then!

I think it could do ok for a couple seasons at least, it wouldn't be the 1st time a show was a ripoff of another.... The Munsters were seen that way in regards to the Addams' Family by many ppl, and I Dream of Jeannie to Bewitched.

The main problem is, I dunno what the show would be about, as many of the things that were socially taboo in the 70s are not so much today, BUT it would be interesting to see Janet and Chrissy as senior citizens. I think a good plot device would be seeing Janet and Chrissy in a "Jeez! Kids today!" type role, having a hard time adjusting to the way of life in the 2020s and seeing younger ppl the way Mr. Roper saw THEM 40 years ago

I honestly don't know how a reboot or continuation of Three's Company (https://www.quora.com/Why-does-Threes-Company-no-longer-seem-funny-when-it-felt-totally-hysterical-in-the-80s) could work with or without John Ritter because it was just one of those shows that was of "its time". Like, I don't think for one thing, that the whole idea of a single man platonically living with two single women is considered that "big of a deal" today than it may have been back in 1977. As others have said (https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showpost.php?p=6047829&postcount=9), what was considered "socially taboo" in the 1970s-early '80s, likely isn't so much today.

Plus, what exactly would be a good jumping off point for a reboot? Since John Ritter is sadly, now deceased, you obviously can't make it about an older version of Jack Tripper. And John was the main linchpin of Three's Company in the first place. I guess, you can work around that by doing what the revival of Night Court did, and focused it on Judge Harry Stone's daughter in light of Harry Anderson's recent passing.

I can imagine John's son Tyler as Jack Tripper's son if you wanted to go that route. I mean, Tyler is the absolute splitting image of his father:

Chrissy got the "Chuck Cunningham" (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ChuckCunninghamSyndrome) treatment in that while her character technically didn't die, she was none the less, all but evaporated from existence. She would never be acknowledged going forward. You might as well have to pretend that come Season 6, Cindy was the first "blonde roommate" before Jack and Janet met Terri.
