During Season 1, we see the Huxtables travel to Hillman (Virginia) for a Commencement celebration; Heathcliff was one of the guest speakers. But should we consider that trip to be a bonafide "vacation" because throughout the show, Clair, in particular, visited Hillman frequently?

Season 8 meanwhile, shows the family at New York University for another Commencement celebration; Theo’s—but NYU has two locations—Brooklyn and Manhattan. The Huxtables mind you, lived in Brooklyn Heights.

They may have made references to, “the annual family vacation”, which was the Grand Canyon multiple years but they weren't shown travelling. And there’s an episode where everyone but Denise and Martin go to Vermont for a few days and another where they go on a ski trip.
