It’s clearly taped in front of the same studio audience as the actual HI studio audience, just a smaller crowd. We’re seeing the actual monitors that they look at which is kinda cool. But did they tape all the TT scenes first (with the selected studio audience members) and then the rest of it after? They would’ve needed room for the Taylor house sets and backyard sets. Were all the people watching Tool Time actual extras? Or did certain people attending the Home Improvement taping get picked out of the audience? That would’ve been so cool. Going to an episode taping and then being shown watching Tool Time! 🤣
