This is not even funny. My mom is so strange. All of a sudden today she decides I'm only allowed online for one hour a day, and I'm only allowed to watch TV for one hour a day!! If this isn't bad enough, I have to ASK her before I get on the computer. Grrrrrrrr. This officialy sucks. I'm never going to be able to keep up with all the posts here... at least not till summer's over, and I'm bored to death all day so she makes me clean the house and do all these chores for no pay!!! AHHHH!!!!! WHY ME????????

NoOoOoOoOo MARISA! Ugh! My mom had me on a time limit- but that's only during school time. Summer you're supposed to have FUN! Not be timed!

Sorry to hear about the time limit for the computer and tv. That def. sucks. I'll eliminate the "S" word for what I have to say next. Maybe your mom is just limiting your time since it is so close to _ _ _ _ _ _ starting back. My mom would always make me go to bed earlier as _ _ _ _ _ _ drew closer. I hated that. I'm such a night owl that I would rather trade internet and tv to stay up later.

Maybe you can convince your mom to let you have more time on the computer and tv. Don't push it and ask her every two minutes or she'll push it down to 30 minutes. Believe me I learned that one the hard way with other matters.

Again, I'm sorry to hear about the time limit. :(

I have friends who have moms like that so I kinda know how you feel. It stinks dosen't it?

My mom was exactly the same way a few years ago. My mother thinks that if you wear black nail polish, it means you worship the devil. (Her belief, not mine) I kept pestering her about it and she never gave a good reason to satisfy the "No" answer. She finally gave in and let me wear black nail polish. The thing is I can't wear it alone. Get you one of those Nail kit things that has tiny paint brushes. The ones that are thin and short. You can really get creative with the brushes. I (who can't draw to save my life) can do designs on my fingernails. Go crazy with it. Everytime someone saw my fingernails they would always ask me if they are real and if I painted them myself. They look really surprised when I tell them that they are my real fingernails and I do paint them myself.

Sarah, take my advice. Ask your mother if you can wear black nail polish just as long as you have another color with it. It doesn't even have to be a crazy design. You could just have a half white polish and half black polish. Maybe she will let you wear it if you do that.

Anyway, thanks you guys. It makes me feel a whole lot better to post problems on here... I'll try your advice, Jenny, thank you, although my mom isn't easy to win over, lol.

Yes, I agree.. Summers are suppose to be fun, lol... Yet I'm spending mine in school. :crazy:

well, you could try what i do to get my way...go in your room and say you wont come out for anything (grab some sodas or food to take w/ you and make sure you have stuff to do!!) then refuse to come out for meals or anything. Well, my parents have always given in to that after several hours because they think im not eating or in major depression. Then when they start bargaining you're in business....

Gawd, that sucks. My dad did that to me last summer...he told me I could have 2 hrs. a day on the computer. I never did it though. I'd stay all day like ususal...and then I'd get grounded for a week. Hah. He's too lazy to make me stay off now...bwahaha.

AHHHHH! You guys... your parents sound so easy. You're lucky, Titania, not in a million years would my mom give in to that. She like NEVER lets me skip meals lol or to stay in my room all day... she'd find a way to get me or lure me out. *sigh* It's not fair....

Before it always took me awhile to get online too... She makes me ask her before I get online so it's like:

Me: "Mom, can I get on?"
Mom: "Hmmm. Can you set the table first?"
Me: *set the table* "Now can I get on?"
Mom: "Hmmm. Well.... Did you vacuum and dust your room?"
Me: *vacuum and dust my room, mixed with lots of grumbles and complains (to myself, of course) in between*

............ And on and on it goes... then she FINALLY lets me on.
