Next Fri we are going to go visit Hubbys sister in Columbus, OH for 2 weeks & I have a very big dilemma in being able to connect to the internet from up there off my laptop & getting the messages off the message boards on the internet that I check out every day. Every day no matter what in addition to checking my e-mail I always do my friend Arlo's 3 message boards & these message boards. I also e-mail my parents to let them know how we're doing on the trip & they e-mail me to let me know how they are. It is very important to me to be able to get all the new messages from those message boards plus these ones along with my e-mail. Thankfully alot of the Freddie stuff is e-mail groups now where I can get the stuff via e-mail. & Most of the non e-mail group boards aren't writte on very much so I have the free website checkers like WEB2MAIL check the boards for me to see if they are updated & if they are e-mail them to me...

When we go to visit hubbys sister I can get online pretty good at our nieces house when we stay there cuz I can get online late at nite after they go to bed to check my mail & the message boards & write on there. But I may have a HUGE problem in getting on the internet whenever we are staying at hubbys sisters. :( During the day I can't really get on there cuz they constantly using the phone alot or getting phone calls. Hubbys sisters teenage grandson who lives with them stays glued to the phone LOL! Later at nite when folks aren't on the phone as much & they aren't getting as many calls would be a good time to get online except for one thing. Hubbys sisters hubby (He's an old dude in his 70's) won't be too keen about me geting online later at nite cuz he goes to bed early & thinks it would disturb him me being up like that even tho I am quiet about it. The reason is the other yr when we were up there, I was online at nite & hubbys sisters grandson wanted to use the phone but was too polite to ask me if I could hurry up being online. He kept coming in the house to see if I had gotten off the puter yet cuz his room is out back. That evidently disturbed hubbys sisters hubby him coming in like that to see if I had gotten off my laptop yet. & He is afraid of a repeat of that LOL! Not my fault LOL! All the kid had to do was ask me if if I could hurry it up & waited inside with me & I wouldn't have minded LOL!


I did find 2 free services that can e-mail ya webpages off of websites in your e-mail & they are WEB2MAIL & PAGE GETTER. WEB2MAIL works great with their service where you can have them send ya a webpage via a schedule. But if I use their service when you instantly e-mail them to instantly send ya a webpage, it doesn't seem to work at all & the pages never get to my e-mail. PAGE GETTER seems to work okay except the mails are a little slow getting to me. Sadly they only allow ya so many pages free & if you need more than that which I probably will, you have to pay a monthly fee. One problem with them tho is that images don't seem to show up in the e-mails even tho I am sending it to their address for the web based version of PAGEGETTER & not their text based version. & that may make it here getting the pics from these boards in the e-mails.

I can't go to a library cuz that's inconvenient for me as I dunno where their libraries are up there & the day we get up there it'll be too late at nite to go to a library. I'm wondering if maybe I can see if I can at least download e-mails to be read off line & reply to them offline & get back on just long enough to send them up & download any new mails that have come in since then & have page getter e-mail me my websites.


A problem too is gonna be getting the message boards via e-mail. I may have to be stuck with paying for a months worth of PAGE GETTER in order to instantly get the webpages instantly in my mail. I can't set it up with WEB2MAIL to send the message boards via a set schedule cuz new messages are put on on there at anytime whenever the posters decide to post like on here. If I had them sent to me on a schedule it would messages written earlier on there but not the latest. I need to have sent to me the pages with all the message topics on it to me instantly when I first get on to check mail & then if there are any new messages on them, e-mail PAGE GETTER or WEB2MAIL (if I can get WEB2 mail to work) mail me the new topics instantly. may get to read more than write on message boards. :(

If your strapped for time on the puter fortuantely the YAHOO GROUPS & MSN COMMUNITIES/GROUPS have where you can get the messages thru your e-mail & be able to read & reply to them in your e-mail. You can even have the new pics from the MSN sites sent to ya via e-mail. This is a really big help to me cuz I don't have to go to the sites much anymore. I can do them thru mail. Fortuantely the MSN & YAHOO GROUPS seem to be the ones written on the most more than alot of the regular message boards. Of all of the regular message boards this one is the one that's written on the most. Hope your parents get better soon. I know it must be hard. Take care! :)

Morning ya'll! Off to Ohio later in the morn to go to Mikes sisters in Columbus. On the way up we are gonna go to Hawks Nest State Park & spend the nite & enjoy it & ride on the jet boats on the rapids. Then Sat to Huntington, WV where we'll hit the mall & the VALUE CITY store & spend the nite there, then Sun the rest of the way to Columbus, We go home not the next weekend but the weekend after that. Start partway home that Sat & spend the nite near Charleston, WV & home on that Sun. Keep up with ya'll via the 486 laptop! Have a good day! & Keep Freddie warm for me! ;)

We are now on our 2 weeks trip to visit Mikes sister at Columbus, Ohio. We always stay partway up there on the the way there and back in WV as it's too hard for me to drive all that way there or back in one day. This time we decided to take 2 days to travel up there so we can go to HAWKS NEST STATE PARK & ride the Jet Boats there. Our day changed from moment to moment. First we were gonna stay at the lodge but they were all booked up, then we were gonna stay at White Sulphur Springs but the motel coupon wasn't valid for Fri nite. Now we are at Covington, VA. It is pretty here. You can see forest & mountains here so it's almost like being at a lodge. We'll see the really gorgeous stuff tomorrow when we got to the lodge & ride the boats etc. Then off to Huntington, WV to spend the nite & hit the mall & the cheap Value City Store. Then Sun we eat at Portsmouth, Ohio on the way to Columbus. So catch ya'll in the AM before we head outta here. :)

We had a great day today. Went to HAWKS NEST STATE PARK & had fun. They have these jet boats you can ride on the whitewater rapids which are like a pontoon boat. You have to ride down the mountain on an enclosed ski lift cable car tram. It's like the one they had in Gatlinburg, TN in the 60's. That was so much fun . Mike was scared senseless on the tram going up in the air LOL! He closed his eyes & recited the 23rd Psalm as we rode the tram up in the air. & The lodge is so pretty! We ate there & want to go back next yr & maybe spend the nite there! I also saw a cave (tourist cave) & signs for a covered bridge & I want to go to both of those next yr. We're at Huntington, WV. ECONOLODGE isn't as nice as last nites motel or as scenic but hey for 30 some bucks ya can't complain. Tomorrow we go to the VALUE CITY store here then onward to Mikes sisters in Columbus, Ohio for the rest of the 2 weeks. See ya'll later! :)

My family is finally getting to have a vacation! I will be back on the 26th--just two days before my kids go back to school (and we have to go to Kindergarten open house that night when we get home OMG)!

We were going to the Smoky Mountains anyway, but come to find out my cousin is getting married there the week we had been talking about going! He is from FL and marrying a woman from Cuba who has sisters in NC, so I guess this is a "meet in the middle" situation LOL! Just a small wedding, so I am happy to be invited since we don't see him much.

Hey have a great & safe trip! I know it will be fun. I've been to the Smokey Mountains before & they are nice. I come up to her area & she suddenly takes off & goes outta town LOL! :lol: :lol: (Insert laugh here LOL) I'll keep Freddie warm for ya up here! :) I brought my Freddie scrapbook with me so I'll try to send some vibes from it your way... I saw in the Virgin records store in Columbus a CD of the LOOKING GOOD album. I already have it but if ya'll don't one is for sale here. but you all didn't invite yourselves to my house (hee hee), and with my kids starting school only a few days after my cousin's wedding, we had to come down to the Smokies before next Saturday rather than after in order to get in any sightseeing LOL! Maybe next year if you give me enough notice! You know I would love to have a fellow Freddie fanatic visit!

It'd be fun to meet another Freddie fan! :) I don't invite myself to the homes of people I haven't met yet cuz I don't want to seem like I am barging in on them. LOL! I want to be polite & not seem like I am coming in on people LOL! :) This yrs plans got all messed up. I had hoped we could go in July when my friend Arlo the singer was doing a show here in July. But sadly Mikes High School reunion was the day before the Arlo show & we wouldn't have been upable to make it to Ohio in one day & in time for the show. A real bummer. :( So we had to go another date instead & since we had so much going on in July we opted for August. & Here we are LOL! Maybe we can get together up here next yr. :) That would be fun! :) Have a good trip & all!

Thurs nite we are spending the nite with our niece in Homer, Ohio a little town a little ways from Columbus, OH. I can't seem to find any local numbers for the internet there & the 1-800 numbers I have for the internet do not seem to work anymore. So I may not be able to get online tomorrow. Fri we will be abck at Mikes sisters in Columbus, but I may only be able to get online long enough to send & receive e-mail thru OUTLOOK EXPRESS & have to have the PAGEGETTER thing send me these CATM boards via e-mail. So I may not get to write on here until Sat nite. We go partway home on Sat & spend the nite in a motel & then go the rest of the way home on Sun. So I guess it's read the boards on Fri via e-mail & see ya'll Sat. Unless a miracle occurs... Keep Freddie nice & warm for me... :)
