I visit youtube on occasion to listen to some music and that's about it. And enjoy George Carlin's videos.
I don't know is Wiki a social media site? I use it often.
Forums are they social media sites or just what: discussion exchanges.
Gets a bit complex and want to hear some of your tech savvy opinions.
This is a subject being discussed on my radio and people calling in to say "they have unplugged on social media"....

Some people are more emotionally needy, than others. For those with insatiable personalities, I guess that social media provides an easy fix?
I think it is a gimmick for the most part, entrepreneurs cashing in on being able to make people feel "connected".
I didn't always have such a slight opinion of connectedness. But spent several years deeply entrenched in what Facebook calls "social gaming". And yanno? I was pretty much addicted to social gaming for about 10 years.
And then something just sort of clicked...I realized that the Facebook political discussion groups, other special interest groups, news services, and the whole rest of it, was all pretty much the same thing as the social gaming
Participants just barter with a different sort of currency that is specific to each particular venue. I think for some, it's especially important to them to find and associate with like-minded people. That used to be a priority for me, but not nearly so much any more.
I haven't been on Facebook at all in over 5 years.
One thing of value about social media that I still enjoy (sites like this, and others) lightning-rod current events issues, I enjoy seeing why people that I disagree with, believe the way they do. Sometimes it's educational, but mostly for entertainment.

For the most part I love Youtube-- Music, Movies, TV Shows. Hastings Cable Access is having a My Little Margie marathon. I do miss some of the great patriots who got kicked off Youtube'
Facebook is fine to keep up with friends and family and play Garden Tales and Candy Valley
I look at Twitter in the morning to get my headache out of the way.
I am signed up for other social sites but rarely use it.
IMDB was great when they had the forums under the movies and actors
I used to be on Instagram when I first got my iPod Touch, but have since left it.
I tried Twitter, but it wasn't for me, so I also left that.
I was on Facebook twice, and left for the second time in March of this year.
I've never tried Snapchat and TikTok, and never will either.
