Does your region where you live MUST have an April Blizzard no questions asked? stevea 04-18-2022, 07:33 PM Yes, it snowed in Indianapolis last night. It was only visible on the grass--it melted on the roads. There wasn't much, and it's unusually cold for late April. Caroline13 04-18-2022, 09:32 PM Hearing heavy snow expected in No. Cal in the next couple days. We need it for snow pack and water in CA. Penny Lane 04-19-2022, 10:46 AM We here in Michigan got about an inch of snow yesterday but it is melting fast. Farmers used to call it "poor man's fertilizer" and plow the snow under into the fields. Snow contains Nitrogen which is beneficial for crops. The last April blizzard that I recall was way back in 1974. It started out as a thunderstorm and turned ugly! But a couple inches of snow here in April is not uncommon. AB 04-23-2022, 07:09 PM We've gotten snow in April a few times but it's pretty unusual, I can't remember ever having a blizzard in April. |
