I started on the Forum journey probably in 2005 and stayed on that Health Forum for probably several years and I enjoyed it and got my feet wet in the Forum world. Come to think of it, there were 2 I joined in 2005 timeframe, one primarily for thyroid support and the other for FM/CFS support and info.

The thyroid forum closed down due to lack of funds by the owner, that's what they said anyway, Miss that group, good people and support.

The FM/CFS group I'm still on but it's very slow and not very active but I hang in and give some info now and then.

Since those 2 I've wandered into other groups and the C-D forum was a favorite but the mods made life a hell for some members.... I struggled with not being there anymore, but am over it.

Reasons people come and go, they are booted off, they are bored or whatever reasons. In my case, since I am so alternative/holistic in healing, they didn't want that and did their thing.

Now I'm on a health group since May of 2015 and plan to finally leave on the day I joined so that will be 7 yrs.... I have threatened to leave as the Mod censors me so much and I've had it, she will not do that anymore after May 22, 2022. The group is very slow now and I try to "wake it up" and the members are half dead, so I'm done soon.

Anyway, I'm sure many have come and gone here at Sitcoms.

I'm making a general comment here. A forum isn't an airport or an hotel. Nobody needs to publicly know the reason for your departure when you leave. Sometimes it's best to just leave without making a dramatic exit.

That was the greatest forum EVER. Separate sections for every movie & TV show imaginable! Plus they had a general forum.

I still don't understand WHY they closed?? Some people said because of bad reviews but people can post bad reviews anywhere! Plus what about all the good reviews?
