Who are some musicians who you think would have collaborated together, but never did?

I've never thought enough about it. If anything, I only go the other way. For example, who didn't say, "Huh?" when learning that Robert Plant of the Led Zepplin act was going to do an album with Alison Krauss? :D :D :D

God bless you and them always!!!

I agree with you. There are some collaborations that just make you say to yourself how in the world did that ever happen? LOL. I just found out one yesterday. I learned that David Bowie did a duet on one of his albums from the 90s with American R&B singer Al B. Sure! And if anybody is familiar with Al you'll remember "Sure" was always spelled with the exclamation point at the end. But anyways that's a very unusual pairing if you ask me.
