May he rest in peace.

He could be annoying, but he always made me laugh.

He was pretty legendary on the comic circuit scene. His brand of humor may not have been everyone's cup of tea, but he'll be missed... :( :( :(

Big, big time talent, very funny, you start laughing as soon as he came on the screen. I remember his various appearances on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, he played characters like Yoda and Harry Potter.

It's odd, I'm not a regular podcast listener but two I always listened to were The Carson Podcast and Gilbert's Amazing Colossal Podcast. Yesterday, I tuned into The Carson Podcast and host Mark Malkoff announces the podcast is ending its run in May, this evening I'm looking through the headlines only to find Gilbert has passed.

He had a good life, RIP to Gilbert prayers for his wife and children.

Gilbert Gottfried's cause of death revealed (https://nypost.com/2022/04/12/gilbert-gottfrieds-cause-of-death-revealed-we-are-heartbroken/)

The legendary comedian, age 67, died at 2:35 p.m. ET Tuesday from recurrent ventricular tachycardia due to myotonic dystrophy type II, said Glenn Schwartz, his longtime friend and publicist, told NBC News (https://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/celebrity/gilbert-gottfried-iconic-comedian-dies-67-long-illness-rcna24111). As the New York Post notes, "Myotonic dystrophy (DM) is a genetic disorder marked by progressive muscle wasting and weakness which predominantly affects the limbs and face but can create increasingly dire complications for respiratory, skeletal and cardiac muscles." ALSO: Gottfried's Twitter account was briefly hacked following his death (https://www.rollingstone.com/movies/movie-news/gilbert-gottfried-dead-twitter-hacked-1336709/).

This guy was hilarious! I enjoyed his comedy from USA’s UP All Night to Problem Child! He could always put a smile on my face. The world will miss you.

I was so sad to hear this. Such an iconic comedian. Just a few months ago he was paying tribute to his friend Bob Saget, and now we've lost Gilbert himself. :(

He was fairly recently on Michael Strahan's "Pyramid" and he did not look well at all. It was sad to see as you can tell he was trying, but he could barely keep up with the game. He wasn't his usual quick-witted self.

I met him almost a decade ago at NJ's Chiller convention and he was one of the nicest celebs. I've met. He spoke in his natural voice which is nothing at all like the one he used in public.

This was Gilbert Gottfried at a Friar’s Club Roast for George Tekai (of Star Trek fame).

NOW THIS IS IMPORTANT….The bit is very crude. Very crude. Basically all homosexual/sexual/graphic jokes. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.

The first time I say it, I died laughing. The Roast and Tekai were rolling in the aisles. Hilarious. Not safe for work or the closed minded. But absolutely and completely hilarious!

I cannot figure why Gilbert Gottfried was chosen as one of the celebrities for Hollywood Squares in the first place and the producers of Hollywood Squares knew what kind of personality he had. My mom and I used to see Hollywood Squares and I thought it was annoying every time Gilbert shouted 'You Fool" to contestants and I always thought he was a bully on Hollywood Squares and i'm surprised me that he was still on Hollywood Squares because the producers should've gave him a warning to stop bullying contestants because that affected their playing style. I guess the saying "Be Buddies Not Bullies" could've worked well for Gilbert. But other than that I think people will most remember Gilbert Gottfried for his work in Aladdin as Iago and the Aflac Duck in Aflac commercials. But I think Adult Swim should've cast Gilbert to provide the voice of Rick in Rick And Morty because he would've made a great Rick and if you listen to Justin Roiland's voice as Rick Justin sounds a lot like Gilbert Gottfried
