Are there fan clubs anymore?

Fan clubs, with newsletters and what not through the mail, are virtually gone.

Since the invention of the internet the days of celebrity fan clubs seemed to slowly disappear but there are some celebrity fan clubs that are still active today. But when celebrities got popular and more popular fans started to write their favorite stars to learn more info about what new shows and new movies or if it was a favorite singer to learn about their upcoming albums and it was so fun to get a personal letter from the stars a few weeks after you wrote them a letter. But now I think the fan clubs for celebrities are mostly written to ask for autographs but it seems that every single celebrity still has a fan club and even cartoon characters and Disney characters too. But I think with stars being very busy they think that the quickest way to reply to fan mail is an autographed photo and a short message on the back of the photo
