she had, had a daughter? Maybe like Princes from FKB?
I sometimes feel sorry for June surrounded by guys all the time. I think she would have had a better disposition if she had a daughter to go shopping with and look at fashion, go to the beauty shop (could Ward afford two top dressers), etc.
They could have ended up like that famous mother and daughter that had a mansion that they let fall down around their ears. Darn, what were their names? Gray something or other.
I wonder that as well. A daughter would have absorbed some of the excessive fussiness that she had toward the Cleaver boys. I'll tell you: while it's clear she meant well, I would find living under her purview as oppressive as hell...at least by my standards.

Fascinating subject. Also did her fussiness and mandatory prim & proper behavior demanded of the kids have a negative effect on their development.
I always though Ward's style of behind June's back of allowing the boys to be rough and tumble wiped out a lot her negative influence. Most of the time Ward's style was on target. He seemed happy inside when one of the boys got into a fight wanting to know if they'd won. But, he never carried things too far.

Yes Ward blunted a lot of her fussiness. When she flew solo what battle did she pick? A few Brussels sprouts in Beaver's pocket. Ward knew she was wrong to die on that hill.
Having a girl would divide her attention, so she'd have less time to worry about things like Wally saying, Going ape. She'd be spending more time doing female things (of that time), like teaching her to cook, sew, and keep a house to June standards. Also taking her downtown to buy her her first string of pearls, to be worn while running the vacuum cleaner.

So, there was like a 4 year difference in the ages of the 2 boys. What age would you have made the daughter? right in between the 2 boys?
Might have made some interesting plot opportunities with June defending the girl from expeditionary advances by Lumpy and Eddie.

Yeah, that would be a good age, or maybe a year or a little more older than Wally. An age where June would have to shield her from advances by those two.
