I know that the Magic started operations during Johnson’s final years as a player. I just think how interesting that would be considering that the team and the player have the word Magic in their name. Imagine if he was traded to the Magic.

The Orlando Magic first season in the NBA was 1989-90. Magic Johnson retired from the Lakers and NBA after the 1990-91 season, but later he came back for one season and played for the Lakers again in the 1995-96 season. I imagine he probably played vs. the Orlando Magic a few times during the regular season when the Lakers and Magic played vs. each other.
