*Kate is sitting in her office looking over some papers when the phone rings. She answers and its Ross*


Kate: Hi Ross!
Ross: Hey pretty lady
Kate: whats up?
Ross: well....
Kate: well what?
Ross: Well, I have about two weeks vacation coming up soon and I was wondering if you would like to go somewhere with me?
Kate: where might somewhere be?
Ross:Oh say.....paris...
Kate: PARIS?
Ross:yes!
Kate:well, I dont know.....

*Riana walks into Kates office holding some files*

Kate: Oh, Ross, I hate to do this but I've got to go, I'll call you later, bye.

*Kate hangs up the phone and turns toward Riana*

Kate: whats up?
Raina: I thought you mide want to look at what we have so far on the Smith/Jones case.
Kate: ok, will do
Raina: Was that Ross on the phone?
Kate: not that its any of your business, but yes, it was.
Raina: What did he have to say?
Kate: not much...
Raina: Oh
Kate:yes, so I'll look over these files and get back to you in a while ok
Raina: Okay Captain
Kate: Bye
Raina: Bye *goes back to her desk*

*Kate looks over the files impatiently, then sits for a little while in quiet.Finally she picks up the phone and calls Ross back*

Kate: Hi Ross
Ross: well hey there!
Kate: sorry about a little while ago, I had a case to look over.
Ross: its fine....
Kate: now where were we?
Ross: I belive I asked you to go on vacation with me..so what do you say?
Kate: well ross I dont know...

*the other line beeps in once again interupting the phone call between Ross and Kate*

Kate: damn it, someone is on the other line Ross, I'll call you back tonight when we can talk ok?
Ross: ok, love you
Kate: you too, bye

*Kate hangs up with ross and flips to the other line. Its haysbert*

Kate: what is it?
Haysbert: Have you found anything on the smith/jones case?
Kate: not yet, but I'm getting there
Haysbert: well I'd appreciate it if you would get the faster Kate, this case is NOT being solved fast enough!
Kate: yeah yeah, Goodbye
Haysbert:Goodbye

*Kate hangs up the phone and mutters something under her breath, then goes out to make an announcement to everyone*

Kate: You all, Haysbert wants the Smith/Jones case solved fast, looks like we're working over time tonight.
CD:Not again
Kate:Yes, again.
CD: *sighs*
Kate: Cd, If you have a problem with working here, I could arrange it where you don't.
CD:I don't have a problem.
Kate: Good, now please everyone, the sooner we solve this case the sooner we can go home...
Magda: We're on it Captain.
Kate: Thank you.
Magda; *smiles*

*Kate turns around and walks back into her office, and begins looking at some files when the phone rings again*

Kate: Hello?
Haysbert: Kate have you figured out a way to solve that case faster?
Kate: yes, I have, everyone is working overtime tonight OK?
Haysbert:fine....bye.
Kate: goodbye.

*Kate hangs the phone up then goes back to looking at files...the scene flashes to Ross at the restaurant, sitting by a phone. Ross picks up the phone and calls Morgan*

Morgan: Hello?
Ross: Hi sweetie
Morgan: Hi dad
Ross: How are you?
Morgan: I'm good. How are you?
Ross: I'm fine
Morgan: How's Ms. McCafferty?
Ross: She's doing great.
Morgan: Are you two ever going to get married?
Ross: Hopefully, someday, but I dont know..
Morgan: I hope you do. Have you told her about me yet?
Ross: Not yet....but I will soon..
Morgan: Why haven't you already told her?
Ross: Its not exactly something you can just blurt out sweetie...I'll tell her soon, I promise...maybe this week...I'm trying to get her to go on vacation with me..
Morgan: Where are you taking her?
Ross: Paris, that is, if she'll go.
Morgan: Sounds fun. I wish I could go.
Ross:Next time, I promise
Morgan: I can't wait
Ross: well sweetie, I have to go, I just thought I'd tell you where I'm going to be this week.
Morgan: I have to go too, Courtney's here. I love you.
Ross: I love you too, talk to you later sweetie, bye.
Morgan: Bye

*Ross and Morgan hang up, the scene switches to about 10:00 at night at the Division. Kate is sitting in her office still reviewing files ,then she suddenly gets up and walks out of her offcie*

Kate: you all, go home. Its 10:00 and we've done enough work for today, Haysbert is just going to have to settle for what we've done so far.
CD:Thanks Captain
Kate: goodnight all.
Magda: Bye Captain
Kate:Good night Magda

*Everyone leaves, as Kate goes into her office to gather her things. She then drives home to find Ross waiting on her front porch with flowers*

Ross:hey pretty lady
Kate*walking up steps*: Hi ross

*ross puts his arm around kate and they start walking up to the house*

Ross:How are you?
Kate: tired, what are you doing here?
Ross: You never called, so I decided to come over
Kate*realizing she never called ross back* :Oh my gosh, Im so sorry, we were so tied up today, it just slipped my mind!
Ross: its alright I understand
Kate: come on, lets go inside.


*kate and Ross go inside arm and arm. Kate puts her things down in her room while Roos sits on the couch. Kate then goes to the kitchen and pours two glasses of wine*

Kate*from the kitchen* :So did you have a good day today?
Ross: It was alright,how was yours?


*kate goes into the living room and sits down next to ross, handing him a glass of wine.*

Kate: It was alright, busy.
Ross:I see..
Kate: so.....about this vacation.....................

*Ross and Kate are still sitting on the couch sipping their wine*

Ross:yes, about that.....do you want to go?
Kate: Well..., yes, I want to go, but, I don't know if I can
Ross: Well, can't you try talking Haysbert into it?
Kate: I can try, but we've got a lot of open cases darling, and I'm not sure he's going to let me take a vacation, it seems almost impossible
Ross*with a disappointed look on his face* :Well if you cant go Kate then you can't go, but I better get going.
Kate: well, I'm going to talk to Haysbert, but I cant promise anything.
Ross: Ok, well, call me tomorrow


*Ross gets up and goes to the door, Kate follows. They kiss goodnight, but kate doesnt let ross go home*

Kate: Why dont you just stay here tonight?
Ross:Well, I didnt know I
