Titania 07-27-2002, 06:10 PM hmm- I guess I could classify a few things in my life as "blessings in disguise" in the 8th grade me and my BEST friend of like...6 years...got in a huge disagreement which because everything w/ us turned into a battle of wills we ended up vowing never to speak to each other again. Bad, right? The next year we started high school- still ignoring each other- and i met a group of the best friends ive ever had and was really able to be myself. If I had still been friends w/ her I doubt I would have hung out w/ new people and become who i am (or hope i am) today. Sara Micelli 07-27-2002, 06:15 PM I have a physical disability that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Kay Scarpetta 07-27-2002, 06:45 PM That my grandmother died. I know it sounds horrible, but if she stayed here, she'd be suffering like hell. She'd never walk, talk, or even move again. I was sad, yet rejoyced when she died. That way she wouldn't be suffering anymore Penny Lane 07-27-2002, 07:00 PM Originally posted by Kay Scarpetta That my grandmother died. If I kept in contact with him, I doubt that I would be where I am todaytoo. We like planned what we were gonna do in the future, but I moved, it all blew out the window. But I odn't really care. I have more friends now and am way more outgoing than before. *Marilyn Monroe* 07-27-2002, 08:15 PM There was a time when I wouldnt talk at all because my best friend was so overbearing. She critisized everything that I did, and made me very self-conscious. When we got in the fight that ruined our friendship, I was devastated. But now I see what she did to me, and I'm really glad that we're not the closest of friends right now! Dude111 03-15-2023, 11:00 PM That my grandmother died. That way she wouldn't be suffering anymoreYes thats how I felt when my my mum died... She had been suffering with ALS and stopped eating,etc........ I wonder why she suffered as long as she was made to?? But YES I do consider that a blessing even though I miss my mum!! Adamantium 03-17-2023, 12:30 AM In the 6th grade, I was in band. We had an upcoming trip to Washington, D.C. that I was looking forward to. However, I had too many detentions (I didn't always do my homework, lol), and the music teacher told me I wasn't allowed to go. I was devastated. However, turns out, someone on the band trip to D.C. was sick and got everyone on the bus sick. They were all throwing up the whole way there and spent their time at D.C. throwing up. That would have been a complete nightmare for me. Meanwhile, back at school, because the majority of the class was on a trip, we didn't do much learning. We just had a relaxed, fun time hanging out in the classroom. My crush was even there, so I got to spend time with her (although nothing ever happened between us). So, yeah, blessing in disguise.
