I find it very refreshing that the cast has so many fond and choice memories from performing on the show. Even if not all of them agree on certain details, most have good memories of working together.

I'm not here to bash or criticize other shows, but I am dumbfounded that certain actors and actresses state that they have no recollection of making the show. BTW, this is from the often touted "best show of the 20th Century" aka Friends

I think FOL fans have it made that so many recall and expound upon their experiences working on the show.

Yes, the '80s were very special. Facts of Life, Mama's Family, Mr. Belvedere, Who's the Boss?, and other shows from then have casts full of warm memories of working on their shows.

I have to say, I'm not familiar with any of the six from Friends claiming they don't remember making the show.

Felice Schachter has no memories of working with her most famous co-star and Julie Pie.

The linked article says that Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow don't remember much of the filming of Friends. Matthew Perry also doesn't remember much, but he also had a substance abuse issue during a part of the show's run.

...which is JUST SO WEIRD because in 2006, Felice seemingly had so many fun, interesting memories of Julie Pie: "Julie was very high energy, bubbly... she was like a cheerleader for the show." And on Molly: "Molly had been in Annie in San Francisco."

Fast forward to 2021: "No, I have no memories of Julie or Molly."

I kind of feel like, with the cast of The Facts of Life, we kind of lucked out, because I don't believe Lisa Whelchel or Julie Piekarski have EVER turned down an interview about FOL. Ever. In decades. So we got hundreds of interviews that we otherwise never would have had. Lisa's willing to show up, in uniform, sing the theme song, and answer to the best of her ability, even if her experiences were different than other people's. Julie Pie is like, "What time do you need me, and where?" Charlotte also made herself available, when she was around.

I think there were times when Mindy Cohn and Kim Fields wanted to distance themselves from FOL, although there are also times when they embraced it. And I do think they embraced it more often than they did not. To their credit, we also got quite a few interviews from John Lawlor, Geri Jewell, Felice Schachter, Julie Anne Haddock-Becker, Mackenzie Astin, and the producers and crew.

If the cast and crew were more like Nancy McKeon, George Clooney, and Molly Ringwald, we'd get no interviews for decades. We've really lucked out because the lead taken by Lisa, and it's clear that she does so because she loves the fans.

I also feel like Mindy hit the nail on the head when she said it's like a school reunion: these girls were friends, but they also went to school and work together, and things weren't always perfect, but they have a shared past, and most of the girls don't mind sharing what they remember with their fan bases.

Interesting, I hadn't heard Lisa and Courteney don't remember much of doing the episodes. I can kind of understand in a way though. The show premiered 28 years ago (!) and memories/experiences can run together.

Tracy Wells of Mr. Belvedere says it's sometimes hard to remember things from show days, but watching episodes brings memories back. (this is witnessed when you hear her reminisce about the show with her co-cast on the season 3 DVD commentaries)

Some people have theorized that Felice didn't have a good relationship with Molly or Julie Pie, so saying that she has no memories of them gives her an out from saying her true feelings. Unlike what Melissa Gilbert expressed about Melissa Sue Anderson.

Yeah, unlike a high school reunion, large amounts of footage was taped/filmed, so the stars can actually look back on footage of themselves, and it can jog some memories.

I believe Julie Pie and Felice are networked on LinkedIn.

I think it's a very positive aspect, the girls and Charlotte and most of the other actors/actresses have always spoken so well of the show and their castmates

Their interviews have been mostly positive, for sure. There are times when they've talked about negative aspects (for example, Lisa talking about the scale on the set, Kim talking about them bringing in new cast members after cutting cast members, Mindy talking about how the producers wouldn't let her do film, Nancy M talking about the chips and beer at the wrap party, Felice talking about overhearing the technicians talk about the girls' bodies, Charlotte talking about how she felt unnecessary in later years). But I would say their comments have mostly been mostly very positive.
