I remember this one gal in a bar, several years ago. Drunk, sitting alone, and evidently heart broken. Asking me why all the great looking guys had to be jerks. And wondering why couldn't at least one of them be decent, like I was?

I told her, "Maybe all the great looking guys, with sparkling personalities, have better things to do?"

Needless to say, I went home alone that night :eek:

Yep, a gf and I called it this when we went out dancing and drinking...and boy scouting.

Perhaps a character flaw among some of the good looking in BOTH genders, is that being "highly marketable", they feel less inclined to put up with the petty annoyances common to all interpersonal relationships?

So of a "well, if you won't kiss my fanny, there are plenty more who will"? And so they just don't invest the work necessary to maintain a healthy relationship.

Like in the old Monkees/Neil Diamond song: "I thought love was more or less a giving thing", except from the other perspective.
