Well, my fave. Gomer episode would have to be "Citizen's Arrest" and "The Haunted House". Those 2 episodes were so funny!

Mine were Citizens Arrayest and the episode where Andy takes Gomer to boot camp in the Marines.

Who can forget "Gomer the House Guest" when he fixes the vacuum cleaner at 2:30 in the morning:

"I noticed your toggle switch was loose and I was tightening it up for you and the switch got stuck in the "on" position. See right there where it says "on"? Well, when it's in that position, she's gonna run on you."

And don't forget the classic rendition of "No Count Mule" while getting ready for bed....

#1 Citizens Arrest followed by Gomer moves in with Andy, The Haunted Houses and when Barney and Andy find Gomer a date

Citizen's Arrest is one of the funniest ones, I also like the one where they fix him up with Mary Grace.

when he saved Andy

the plot of that one was used on "GOMER PYLE: U.S.M.C" once; with Sgt. Carter in the Andy role.

I love the one where he's working at the gas station on Sunday and the man's car broke down.

Also, the one where they are going to have a band concert and he wouldn't crawl under the stage with the spiders. In that same episode, he had that great line, "That boat will do 80! Now, that's fast on water!"

yea; I like those 2 also. Also the one where he makes a citizens arrest against Barney "CITIZENS AIRAIST!!! CITIZENS AIRAIST"!!!

That first one "MAN IN A HURRY" was the first time they showed him. Also Wally.

They're all great, but I especially love "Citizen's Arrest." Gomer and Barney were both awesome. :lol:

My favorite is "A Date for Gomer." It was very poignant when Andy and Barney realized that Gomer had to show them that looks aren't that important. "She's nice-- REAL nice!" :nod: Very sweet episode and one of my favorites in general

Re: Song Festers - It was kind of dumb for Gomer to use his normal voice when he stopped in before the concert to wish Barney good luck. He should have done so using his "hoarse" voice. It was also kind of dumb for John Masters to put Gomer back in to the choir at the last minute without knowing if Gomer's voice had recovered enough for singing.
