Mario Lopez created sparks as Dr. Christian Ramirez
After becoming famous to Saturday morning audiences as jock teen A.C. Slater in "Saved by the Bell," (https://www.looper.com/256771/the-untold-truth-of-saved-by-the-bell/) Mario Lopez eventually joined the cast of "The Bold and the Beautiful" in 2006 for a rather dramatic love triangle.
Lopez plays Christian Ramirez, a doctor brought in to save the life of Felicia Forrester (Lesli Kay) from colon cancer. Ramirez quickly develops feelings for her, even sharing a kiss with the patient after he shaves Felicia's head for chemotherapy. However, Felicia decides to get back together with Dante (Antonio Sabato Jr.), who is in turn involved with her half-sister Bridget (Ashley Jones). This causes some conflict, but ultimately Felicia makes her choice.
Later, Christian is involved in more storylines, including Ridge's heart attack and his brother Hector's (Lorenzo Lamas) injury in a house fire, but eventually he disappears from the series. This was because — after only four months in the show — Lopez and the network mutually agreed that the actor would leave for other projects (Soaps (https://soaps.sheknows.com/the-bold-and-the-beautiful/news/25/mario-lopez-dancing-in-primetime/)). Nevertheless, CBS emphasized that they enjoyed having him on the series and that "Christian could show up again."
With the nature of soap operas, who knows? Maybe after Lopez is done with the new "Saved by the Bell" revival, he could return to "The Bold and the Beautiful."
Lark Voorhies' religion supposedly affected her career in The Bold and the Beautiful
Lark Voorhies has guest-starred in numerous network dramas and sitcoms, and she's even appeared in music videos like "On Bended Knee" by Boyz II Men. But the actress' biggest claim to fame is the part of rich kid Lisa Marie Turtle in "Saved by the Bell," a role she finally revisits in the recent Peacock revival (https://www.looper.com/315759/saved-by-the-bell-season-2-release-date-cast-and-plot/). Voorhies first appeared in a daytime drama shortly after "Saved by the Bell" ended in 1993, when she played a single mother, Wendy Reardon, in "Days of Our Lives." Then, in 1995, she joined the cast of "The Bold and the Beautiful" to play Jasmine Malone.
An aspiring fashion designer, Jasmine works at Forrester rival Spectra Fashion House and begins a complicated on-and-off friendship with owner Sally Spectra (Darlene Conley). She also becomes entangled with the romantic affairs of Jessica Forrester (Maitland Ward) and Irving "Sly" Donovan (Brent Jasmer), especially after Sly plots to get Jessica pregnant so that he can live off her. Eventually, Sly attempts to kill Jasmine and Jessica by burning down the Bikini bar for insurance money, but he accidentally immolates himself while Dylan (Dylan Neal) helps the two women escape the fire.
After this episode aired in 1996, unfortunately, Voorhies was reportedly released from her contract because she wouldn't do sex scenes as a Jehovah's Witness (via Bustle (https://www.bustle.com/articles/37940-is-lark-voorhies-a-jehovahs-witness-the-unauthorized-saved-by-the-bell-story-got-something-right)). Jasmine hasn't been mentioned or seen in "The Bold and the Beautiful" ever since.
