Which of the two is your choice?

View Full Version : Who would your prefer be the permanent host of Jeopardy TMC 03-16-2022, 03:17 AM Which of the two is your choice? howilu 03-16-2022, 09:36 AM I cast my vote for Mayim Bialik. To me, she's the right fit for the show, having a neuroscience degree. She has great rapport with the contestants, especially during the interview segment. icecream 03-16-2022, 10:24 AM I voted for Ken Jennings, he has been a great host and has more of a Jeopardy! connection with his 74 game winning streak that I doubt ever gets topped. Dude111 03-16-2022, 09:05 PM Kenny :) AMackII 03-21-2022, 07:47 AM Ken Jennings is alright but I prefer Mayim to be the host James28 03-28-2022, 02:29 PM If there can't be a "someone else" option, I'll have to go with Mayim Bialik. rusty spike 03-28-2022, 05:26 PM I voted for a robot. Edward216 03-28-2022, 05:35 PM definitely Mayim Bialik. Ken Jennings totally sucks at hosting with his repulsive, arrogant know-it-all attitude.:barf: Ed. icecream 03-28-2022, 06:50 PM definitely Mayim Bialik. Ken Jennings totally sucks at hosting with his repulsive, arrogant know-it-all attitude.:barf: Ed.Ken is a great host who is not arrogant on that side of the podium. Have you even watched a Ken hosted episode with how much you hate him? You once said you wouldn't. TMC 05-07-2022, 03:42 AM Jeopardy! champion Mattea Roach discusses the fan mail and hate mail she's received and why she'd pick Ken Jennings as the new full-time host (https://www.vulture.com/article/jeopardy-champion-mattea-roach-interview.html) "My wrist has received fan mail," the 23-year-old Roach tells Vulture of the divisiveness over her wrist movements (https://twitter.com/xtine_files/status/1519833931436154881). "If anything, my wrist received a lot of hate mail. A lot of people really didn’t like it. I saw a couple fan cams of my wrist, which is funny. There’s a lot of queer people specifically who have been fans of the way I move my hands and body. It’s not something I thought about at the time I was taping, but it’s fun to see the support from that community, which I’m a part of." Roach was also asked about whom she'd prefer to see as the new Jeopardy! host since she's worked with both Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings. "I would say Ken because of his history with the show," she says. "As a contestant, there’s something really special about being onstage with the greatest player of all time. Someone who understands in a very visceral way what it’s like to be in your position. Mayim is fantastic, but she doesn’t have that same experience." Coffeecup 05-10-2022, 11:37 AM I like Mayim for she DOESN"T have a past with the show. As for Mattea, she had a good run but is nice for someone new to gets some cash. Mattea was young, nose ring and all and I was amazed at how much she knew at young age of 23. TMC 05-10-2022, 11:46 PM Some Jeopardy! fans were upset by Ken Jennings' announcement that he's "handing the keys back" to Mayim Bialik "for a few months" (https://people.com/tv/jeopardy-fans-share-mixed-reactions-to-mayim-bialik-hosting-amid-ken-jennings-hiatus/) The switch from Jennings back to Bialik after the end of Mattea Roach's 23-game winning streak has polarized Jeopardy! fans (https://nypost.com/2022/05/10/jeopardy-fans-angry-after-ken-jennings-reveals-host/). But Jennings says: "I'll be back before the end of the season (https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/121652-jeopardy-season-38-2021-2022/page/121/#comments)." howilu 05-11-2022, 09:45 AM I have always felt that if Ken Jennings was named the permanent Jeopardy host, it would impact the number of potential contestants trying to get on the show because of rules that state if you know anyone who works on the show, you are not eligible to be a contestant. That has been the case for every game show that has aired since the quiz show scandals. GentlemanJim 05-11-2022, 03:21 PM How about Will Smith? He's probably gonna need a job. |
