When it comes to female singers with dynamic voices Whitney Houston certainly fits the description of female singers with talent. When she burst on the scene in 1985 Whitney Houston was certainly a breath of fresh air and despite being the daughter of Cissy Houston who is known for her gospel singing Whitney sure wasn't bothered by anything at all and not even competing with other female singers such as Patti Labelle and Laura Branigan could stop Whitney Houston from reaching her goal of doing what she liked. But it wasn't until 1987 when the album Whitney came out that she became a mega superstar and the Whitney album was a huge seller for her. But I think when the album I'm Your Baby Tonight came out in 1990 it was a slow starter at first but even though that album wasn't the surprise hit they expected to be Whitney still soldiered on and never gave up. But what I never understood why Whitney Houston ended up being the crush of Bobby Brown and ended up marrying him when she should've been the crush of Jermaine Jackson because when they would do duets together they had special magic that worked. But I think when she made her movie debut with The Bodyguard and sang I Will Always Love You in the movie it proved that Whitney could do more than sing she could act as well. And when Waiting To Exhale came out in 1995 Whitney Houston was on top and the same thing with The Preacher's Wife when it debuted in 1996 and Whitney was happy with her career and when she made a comeback with My Love Is Your Love that album was such a smash that it was the pinnacle of her career. But had she decided to go downhill because her last two albums failed I think Whitney Houston would still do another album if she was still alive today. What I think they are trying to do with Whitney Houston is make her the second most popular non-living singer next to Michael Jackson and this special will prove it to get the inside scoop about Whitney
