During the series we see MANY flashbacks of Sal. And then there's that one episode of Geaorge. But we never EVER see Charlie. I really wanted to see him.

I hadn't thought about it, but you're right. Charlie was the only spouse of the Girls that we didn't get to see on the show. We saw Sal and George (albeit in dream sequences or flashbacks) and of course there was that yutz Stan. But no Charlie!

Actually, we never saw St. Olaf either. The closest we got was when Rose won the "St. Olaf Woman of the Year" award, beating out Emma Emmahoffer. Fortunately, she won later when they found a skeleton in Emma's closet -- that of MR Emmahoffer. :)

Anyway... I think it adds an element to the story. If we "saw" St. Olaf, it probably wouldn't match what we had in our mind. The imagination is awfully powerful, and I would rather have St. Olaf be like it is in my head than on some sound stage.

So... I'm glad I never saw Charlie... I don't think he could compare with the memories Rose shared...

That has to be in in my top 20 episodes. When she wins woman of the year. And She screams to her freind Igna, and she replies. And Sophia dissapears in the tunnel.
