"With profound grief, we share the news Mark Deetjen, EVP of Global Channels at Fremantle, and the GM of BUZZR has passed away. It is an immense loss for all who knew him. Mark was a dedicated family man, a supportive, thoughtful leader, and a game show fan who helped build BUZZR from the beginning. We will miss him greatly."

I wonder what's gonna happen to Buzzr now that their general manager has suddenly passed away? I hope this doesn't mean the end of the road for Buzzr and I hope whoever they pick to replace Mark Deetjen doesn't ruin Buzzr. Because it seems that everytime a good TV channel loses a new president and gains a new one the TV channel starts going downhill. I pray that Buzzr doesn't get sold and replaced with another channel because Buzzr doesn't really have any competition with any other game show channel except Game Show Network. What was the cause of Mark Deetjen's sudden death? Because I don't recall him ill but more likely Buzzr will make Rick Gankler be promoted to General Manager of Buzzr now

Mark has been suffering from health problems for years. He received a double organ transplant a few years ago do to complications from diabetes.
